
Colin Firth
Colin Firth (born Colin Andrew Firth on September 10, 1960) is an English actor, best known for his roles in Pride and Prejudice, The King’s Speech, and The King’s Man franchise.
Firth gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, solidifying his status as a leading man in period dramas. He later achieved international stardom with roles in Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) and Love Actually (2003). His performance as King George VI in The King’s Speech (2010) won him an Academy Award for Best Actor. He also starred in The Railway Man (2013), Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014), and Operation Mincemeat (2021).
Beyond acting, Firth is a vocal advocate for human rights and environmental causes. He has supported various charitable organizations, including those focused on refugees and indigenous communities.
