Antonio Banderas (born José Antonio Domínguez Bandera on August 10, 1960) is a Spanish actor, director, and producer, best known for his roles in The Mask of Zorro, Desperado, and the Shrek franchise.

Banderas began his acting career in Spain, collaborating with acclaimed director Pedro Almodóvar in films like Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988). He gained international fame in Hollywood with action-packed roles in Desperado (1995) and The Mask of Zorro (1998). His voice performance as Puss in Boots in Shrek 2 (2004) and its spin-offs made him a beloved animated character. In 2019, he received an Academy Award nomination for his role in Pain and Glory.

Beyond acting, Banderas is involved in philanthropy and business, including his own fragrance line. He remains one of Spain’s most celebrated actors with a successful career spanning decades.
