Pierce Brosnan (born Pierce Brendan Brosnan on May 16, 1953) is an Irish actor, producer, and environmental activist, best known for portraying James Bond in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day.
Brosnan rose to fame in the 1980s with the TV series Remington Steele before taking on the role of the iconic British spy, James Bond, in the 1990s. His suave portrayal revitalized the franchise, making him one of the most popular Bonds in history. Outside of Bond, he starred in films like The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), Mamma Mia! (2008), and Black Adam (2022).
Beyond acting, Brosnan is a passionate environmental activist and advocate for ocean conservation. He has worked extensively on humanitarian and climate change initiatives, supporting organizations such as Greenpeace and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
