Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema (born Karim Mostafa Benzema on December 19, 1987) is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. Known for his technical skill, finishing, and playmaking, he is regarded as one of the greatest strikers of his generation.

Benzema rose to prominence at Lyon, winning multiple Ligue 1 titles before joining Real Madrid in 2009. Over 14 seasons at the club, he won numerous La Liga titles, five UEFA Champions League trophies, and became Real Madrid’s second all-time top scorer. In 2022, he won the Ballon d'Or, recognizing him as the world's best player.

For France, Benzema made over 90 appearances, winning the UEFA Nations League in 2021. He was part of the squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, though he did not play in the tournament.

In 2023, he left Real Madrid to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, continuing his career in the Saudi Pro League.
